What Is Included

Design 1 is the Brutus Buckeye head portrait. The classic buckeye nut character in front-facing portrait: warm tan-brown oval face with white eye crescents, black cartoon features, and a red-and-gray striped cap with a small Block O button on top. Dark charcoal black background fill with gray outer border. The most recognized mascot mark in the bundle. 11 sizes, 2 to 7 inches.

Design 2 is the composite Ohio State badge. Arched Ohio State wordmark in white on a dark backing plate at the top, Brutus face portrait in a circular frame at center, BUCKEYES in white bold sans-serif on a dark rectangular banner at the bottom. The fullest expression of the Buckeyes brand identity in the bundle at 60,189 stitches at 7 inches. 9 sizes, 3 to 7 inches.

Design 3 is the Block O with arched Ohio State wordmark. The octagonal scarlet red Block O with silver-gray outer border and black inner ring, the arched Ohio State gothic wordmark in black integrated across the lower half of the O, contained within a gray outer badge border. 10 sizes, 2.5 to 7 inches.

Design 4 is the Ohio State arch wordmark on a dark charcoal backing plate. White gothic mixed-case lettering arching on a dark horizontal badge with a red satin arc beneath and a gray outer border. Compact badge format suited for cap fronts and sleeve panels. 8 sizes, 3.5 to 7 inches.

Design 5 is the standalone Block O. The octagonal scarlet red letterform with silver-gray inner outline ring, black inner border ring, and black outer octagon satin border. One of the most widely recognized college sports marks in the country. 11 sizes, 2 to 7 inches.

Design 6 is the minimal Ohio State arch wordmark without a backing plate. Dark charcoal gothic mixed-case lettering arching on a plain ground with a red satin arc beneath as the only color accent. Design 7 is the stacked OHIO STATE BUCKEYES wordmark in scarlet red. OHIO STATE on the top line in wide spaced bold serif and BUCKEYES on the second line in a wider heavier condensed version. Design 8 is the full-body Brutus Buckeye mascot. Brutus stands upright with hands on hips in his classic confident pose wearing a red-and-gray horizontal-stripe long-sleeve sweater and red pants with white socks and dark shoes. The alternating stripe bands must register cleanly — run at 75 to 80 percent machine speed through the sweater section. Best at 5 inches and above. 8 sizes, 3.5 to 7 inches.

Stitching Tips

For the Block O (Design 5), use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on all fabric types and hoop with the grain running parallel to the vertical edge of the O to prevent the diagonal edge segments from pulling unevenly. Scarlet red thread should sit in the bright-to-mid red range — avoid threads that lean orange or brick. For the Brutus mascot designs (1, 2, 8), the yellow face fill is a muted off-white yellow rather than bright canary yellow. For the arch wordmark designs (4 and 6), use a 75/11 sharp needle on all woven fabrics to keep the narrow gothic letterform strokes clean. For the full-body Brutus (Design 8), run at 75 to 80 percent machine speed through the sweater stripe section to maintain registration between the red and gray alternating fills.
