The interior is filled with a dense black ground, against which the stylized raven face is built from blue-purple feather detail shapes radiating outward from the center, a sharply pointed white and gray beak running vertically down the middle, two intensely detailed red eyes with circular pupils that anchor the composition at mid-height, and a small gold crescent at the top center between the wing-like feather tufts. High-stitch-count statement piece at 40,257 stitches at 7 inches. Best at 4 inches and above on jacket backs, front chest panels on heavy jerseys, and large patch applications.

Stitching Tips

Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on all knit and stretch fabrics. The black background fill is the foundation the entire design sits on — density must be high enough to prevent the fabric ground from showing through between stitch rows, especially on lighter base fabrics. Slow the machine slightly through the eye and feather edge sections where the directional transitions are most rapid, to keep the red eye detail and gold border crisp and well defined.
