Digitizing Quality
The primary technical challenge in this design is preserving the wave cutout silhouette at a compact 3.86-inch width. The wave crests and troughs are formed by the precise termination of satin columns rather than by cut paths, so stitch endpoints had to be mapped carefully to maintain smooth, wave-like curves without jagged pixel-stepping at the edges of each block.
The second challenge was balancing the visual weight between the icon block and the wordmark. At this size, the satin density of the filled wave blocks could easily overwhelm the lighter column stitching of the letterforms. Underlay sequencing and satin density were calibrated so both elements read as equal visual anchors when viewed at normal wearing distance, without the wordmark disappearing into the fabric.
Column stitch angle consistency across the condensed letterforms, particularly the angled strokes of "A" and the curved bowls of "B," "O," and "G," required individual angle mapping per stroke segment to avoid the sheen variation that would otherwise break the single-color unity of the design.
