This Brooklyn Nets embroidery design delivers the official circle badge in black and white across 11 individually digitized sizes. The badge is built on a wide black outer ring with BROOKLYN arching across the upper arc and NEW YORK curving across the lower arc in spaced white satin capitals. Inside the ring, a large white-filled basketball occupies the full inner circle, its bold black satin seam lines curving across the ball surface as the dominant graphic element within the badge. At the center of the basketball, a large dark serif B lettermark sits as the focal point of the entire composition, raised above the basketball fill as a distinct third layer. A white satin outer border ring completes the perimeter.
Three stacked fill layers occupy the center of this badge: the white basketball fill, the black seam lines above it, and the B lettermark above those. Managing that layering without registration errors or color bleed at any of the 11 sizes is what separates a well-digitized version of this badge from the auto-converted alternatives. The 7 inch variant reaches 47,057 stitches, the highest stitch count in this collection, and every stitch is load-bearing in a composition this precisely constructed.
Design Details
The wide black outer ring is the foundational fill layer, its dense flat coverage giving the badge its patch-quality presence. BROOKLYN in the upper arc and NEW YORK in the lower arc are set in spaced white satin capitals directly on the black ring field, each letterform bordered with a tight satin outline that maintains legibility against the dark background at every size including the 2 inch compact variant. The white basketball inside the inner circle is filled with directional white satin stitching that follows the curvature of the ball form. Four bold black satin seam lines cross the ball surface: a horizontal equator line and three curved arc lines that trace the standard panel geometry of a regulation basketball. These seam lines are raised satin runs with individual underlay that sit cleanly above the white fill. The B lettermark at center is set in the Nets signature serif typeface, filled with a dark tone slightly lighter than the black ring to allow the letterform to read distinctly from both the black seam lines and the white ball fill surrounding it, and bordered with a tight satin outline that defines its edges against the background. A white outer satin border ring traces the full badge perimeter.

Digitizing Quality
The three-layer stacked fill structure at the center of this badge is the defining technical challenge. The white basketball fill is the base layer. The black seam lines are raised above it as structured satin runs with individual underlay, placed as a second layer. The B lettermark is then raised above the seam lines as a third layer with its own underlay and border sequence. Each layer transition requires precise sequencing to prevent the layers from merging at their boundaries or showing registration drift when stitched on fabric under tension. The white ring text over the black outer field requires elevated underlay beneath each letterform to prevent white thread from sinking into the dark base at smaller sizes where the letterform strokes are at their narrowest. The wide black outer ring uses calibrated fill density to achieve flat opacity without generating the fabric pull that under-structured dense circular fills produce. At the 6.5 inch and 7 inch sizes, machine speed reduction is recommended to maintain full registration precision across the complete high-stitch-count run.
Recommended For
This Brooklyn Nets machine embroidery design works well for center chest placement on premium hoodies and heavyweight crewneck sweaters, left chest badge positioning on polo shirts and practice jerseys, cap front embroidery at 3.5 inch and smaller sizes, streetwear-influenced sports apparel for the Brooklyn and New York market, boutique custom pieces and personalized fan merchandise, and jacket back placement at the larger sizes. The monochrome black and white palette makes this design compatible with virtually any garment color.
Stitching Tips
Use true black such as Madeira 1000 or Isacord 0020 for the outer ring and seam lines, and bright white such as Madeira 1002 or Isacord 0101 for the basketball fill, ring text, and outer border. Thread quality is the most visible variable in a monochrome design. Any inconsistency in black opacity or white brightness is immediately apparent because there are no color fills to draw the eye away from it. Use heavy-weight cut-away stabilizer for all fabric types given the high stitch count and the large circular black fill that generates significant tension across the badge diameter. For garments with stretch content, add water-soluble topping over the stabilizer to prevent the knit structure from shifting beneath the outer ring fill. Reduce machine speed at the 6.5 inch and 7 inch sizes to maintain registration across the full stitch run.
