Stitching Tips

Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer for the bulldog shield and Brownie the Elf on all knit and fleece fabrics — both designs carry enough fill density that a tearaway will not provide adequate support. The outline bulldog face is intentionally light in stitch count and works well on lightweight shirts and performance fabrics where heavier designs would distort; because it is almost entirely satin line runs rather than dense fill, thread tension is more critical and a test piece on a matching fabric is recommended before production. For the circular patch and the shield badge, the 4.5 to 6 inch range produces the clearest results on most standard hooping setups. The B football badge and the stacked wordmark are the most practical choices for cap embroidery due to their horizontal and compact formats. Apply water-soluble topping on any textured fabric for designs with fine lettering or narrow satin detail elements.
