The blades pass behind the black banner field through the mid-section and re-emerge below it, crossing in front of the football at the lower center. RAIDERS spans the full banner width in white block letters against the black fill. The white football at the lower center sits over the crossing blade zone with a black horizontal lace crossbar and five short vertical stitch bars, and a black satin outer border tracing the football perimeter. At 5 to 6 inches the sword guard detail, white lettering, and football lace are all fully legible. Cap front panels at 4 to 4.5 inches where the black-and-white composition reads strongly against any cap color. The two-color construction works on light, dark, and colored garments equally well.
