Orlando Magic Shooting Star Outline Embroidery Design
The Orlando Magic shooting star basketball mark in single-color black outline construction: a thick circular basketball border with three interior contour lines and two sweeping arc motion lines curling around the upper perimeter, the ball interior left unstitched so the garment color shows through as the ball fill. Three five-point stars trail diagonally from the ball edge toward the upper left at descending sizes, the largest star nearest the ball in dense black satin fill with a thin white outline border, the middle star in outline-only, and the smallest at the far end outline-only, creating a graduated comet trail sequence. The unstitched ball interior means this design produces genuinely different results on each fabric color — on blue Magic garments the open ball reads as team-colored, on black it reads as a dark negative space, on white and gray it opens up. Eleven sizes from 2 to 7 inches wide.
Eleven sizes from 2 to 7 inches wide. Minimum hoop required is 4x4 inches. Single thread color: black.

Recommended Uses
Front chest on basketball jerseys and fan shirts, cap fronts on structured and flat brim hats, hoodies and lightweight athletic jackets, youth league apparel, gym bags, sports backpacks, and side panel placement on warm-up gear. Choose fabric color intentionally as the unstitched ball interior makes the garment color part of the design result.
Stitching Tips
Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on athletic and stretch fabrics to prevent the circular satin border from distorting under tension during the run. For cap embroidery, ensure firm hooping and proper alignment to preserve the clean star points and smooth circular geometry. Apply water-soluble topping on terry and pique at smaller sizes to keep the star outlines and interior basketball contour lines crisp against the pile surface. The three stars use separate digitizing for their different fill approaches, so the largest filled star and the two outlined smaller stars may stitch in different color stop sequences depending on your machine — check the color order on a test piece before production.
