The Pittsburgh Pirates iconic P cap letterform in full gold satin, stitched on open fabric with no backing color, no border, and no background element. The P is a wide rectangular letterform with a flat horizontal crossbar at the top, a vertical stem descending the full letter height, and a bowl arm connecting the right end of the crossbar to the mid-height zone of the stem. Four chamfered spike notch cutouts define the letterform's character: two at the outer upper corners of the crossbar where the flat top edge meets the outer faces, and two at the base foot of the stem, each notch a pointed triangular cutout oriented at 45 degrees to the stroke face. The gold satin fills all stroke zones throughout. The open rectangular bowl counter — the void framed by the crossbar, bowl arm, and stem — reads as defined negative space against the fabric ground. Eleven sizes from 2 to 7 inches tall.
