"SAN DIEGO" in eight wide rounded uppercase block letters set on a flat, non-arched horizontal baseline, each letter filled in black with a gold outline tracing both the full outer contour and all interior counter edges. The letterform style uses the same rounded corner and smooth terminal aesthetic as the arched "PADRES" wordmark, but in a wider, more expanded proportion with large prominent counter openings throughout. The S has a double-curve body with visible upper and lower counters traced in gold on both outer and interior edges. The A has an enclosed triangular counter. The N has two vertical stems and a diagonal stroke. The D and O have large enclosed rounded rectangular counters. The I has flat top and bottom serifs. The E has three horizontal arms with rounded outer terminals. The G has a rounded rectangular counter with an inward- pointing horizontal bar at the opening. All letters sit on a common flat baseline with no rotational variation and no arc curvature. Eight sizes from 3.5 to 7 inches wide.

At 4.5 to 5.5 inches it works for sleeve band placements on outerwear where the letters use the full available sleeve width. At 3.5 to 4 inches the extreme proportions limit it to hat brim embroidery and other very shallow, wide placement zones.
