Arizona Cardinals Perched Cardinal Football Embroidery File

A full-bodied cardinal perched on a football, facing left with golden claws gripping the ball and a long swept tail extending to the right. Layered red feather fills cover the wings, chest, and tail with directional stitching that follows the natural feather structure, separated by black satin outline lines that define each feather group. White eye, golden beak and claws, and a brown football with white lace stripes below complete the composition. Best at 4 inches and above where the feather layering and claw detail read fully against the garment.

Eleven sizes from 2 to 7 inches tall. Minimum hoop required is 4x4 inches. Four thread colors: red, black, golden yellow, and white.

At 5 to 7 inches the feather layering and football texture carry the full illustration detail. At 2.5 to 3 inches the perched silhouette reads cleanly as a sleeve accent or compact hat placement.

Stitching Tips

Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on fleece and knit fabrics to support the dense red feather fill sections and prevent the tall vertical composition from shifting during the long stitch run. On woven cotton and twill, tearaway is sufficient. The golden claw and beak fills are small and concentrated near the base of the design, so reduce machine speed through that section at smaller sizes to keep the color separation clean between the gold and black outline.
