Completing the white base layers before any navy elements prevents the navy from bleeding into the white fill at the face and crown boundaries. Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on knit and stretch fabrics. At 3 and 3.5 inches on textured fabrics, apply water-soluble topping to preserve the facial line detail, brim accent lines, and the hat star badge construction.
