LAKERS in the team's bold italic serif typeface: Lakers purple directional fill running diagonally through each letterform at the same angle as the italic lean, with a gold satin border tracing the full outer perimeter of every letter including the curved serifs and interior counter spaces. The oversized decorative L with its sweeping foot serif, the angled crossbars on the A and K, and the curved terminal on the S are all present and holding their definition across all nine sizes. Two colors, one word, no secondary elements. The horizontal format covers cap fronts and sleeve cuffs at smaller sizes, left chest and polo placements at mid-range, and full hoodie chest at the largest sizes without any composition adjustment.
Nine sizes from 3 to 7 inches wide. Minimum hoop required is 4x4 inches. Two thread colors: Lakers purple and gold.

Recommended Uses
Left chest on polo shirts and practice jerseys, cap fronts at 3 to 3.5 inches, centered chest on hoodies and crewnecks at mid and larger sizes, sleeve and secondary branding positions on team jackets, youth tees and fan apparel, and jacket back placement at 7 inches. This wordmark is especially wide relative to its height, so cap embroidery requires careful alignment and firm hooping to keep registration consistent across all six letters.
Stitching Tips
Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on stretch fabrics and knit jerseys to prevent the wide horizontal wordmark from shifting during stitching. Tearaway is sufficient on woven twill and canvas. The gold satin border maintains consistent width through the tight inner corners of the decorative serifs and the narrow crossbar spaces in the A, K, and E, so confirm hoop tension on a test piece before production to keep those narrow sections from crowding at smaller sizes. At 3 inches, apply water-soluble topping on textured surfaces to keep the thin gold border edges crisp and the serif terminals defined.
