Miami Heat Vice Edition Flaming Basketball Embroidery Design

Stitching Tips

Thread color matching is the most important preparation step. The teal should be a true cyan-leaning teal rather than blue-green or seafoam, and the pink should read as saturated magenta or hot pink rather than pastel. Pulling either color too soft will flatten the finished piece significantly, so test both threads together on a scrap before running the full design. Use a medium cutaway stabilizer on jersey and fleece. On structured caps, firm cap stabilizer with tearaway backing handles the stitch count well at 4 inches and above. At 2 to 2.5 inches, slow machine speed through the flame section to keep the tight curving satin tip columns clean.
