The New York Mets "NEW YORK" city name in the Mets display font, eight individual block letters arcing along a shallow upward curve with the center letters sitting highest and the end letters dropping back toward the baseline at both sides. A space gap separates "NEW" and "YORK" at the center of the arc. Each letter uses the characteristic rounded bulb terminals and decorative swept serif feet of the Mets display font throughout: the N with bulb serifs at its upper corners and swept foot serifs at its lower corners; the E with three horizontal arms carrying bulb terminals on their outer ends; the W with four alternating peaks each carrying a bulb terminal at its tip; the Y with two upper arms converging to a stem with a foot serif; the O with an enclosed oval counter fully surrounded by the navy fill; the R with a curved bowl on the upper right and a diagonal leg extending lower right; and the K with two diagonal strokes meeting the vertical stem with swept terminal details. All eight letterforms are filled in navy blue satin with an orange outline following the full outer contour of each letter including every terminal detail and the O's inner counter edge.
