Stitching Tips

Use yellow-green for the Brutus face fill — this is a muted off-white yellow rather than bright canary. Use true black for the outer shell, outlines, pupils, and facial line details; brown for the lower nut band; gray for the helmet body and outer border; scarlet red for the helmet brim and Block O; and bright white for the eye whites. Use a heavy-weight cutaway stabilizer on all fabric types at the larger sizes given the high stitch count and dense black outer shell fill. Add water-soluble topping on stretch fabrics to prevent the knit structure from shifting beneath the wide black shell fill. Reduce machine speed at 6.5 and 7 inches to maintain registration across the full run.
