The San Diego Padres home plate shield heritage mark in full embroidered form. The five-sided home plate silhouette is wider than tall at every size, with a flat top edge, angled upper side edges, and a pointed lower vertex. A brown satin border column follows the full angular silhouette, with a white inner border line running parallel and slightly inset from the brown outer edge. The navy blue field fills the interior of the shield above the wave zone. The "Padres" cursive script runs diagonally across the center of the navy field: the P opens with a tall looping entrance stroke, and the connected lowercase a, d, r, e, and s follow in flowing cursive, all in white satin fill with a brown outline tracing every letterform contour. The wave graphic occupies the lower triangular point of the shield, composed of multiple overlapping curved fill shapes in turquoise and white alternating to create a sense of coastal motion and depth. At 4 to 5 inches the shield fits left-chest placements on hoodies and jackets where the heritage mark reads as a complete identity statement.
