San Diego Padres Swinging Friar Embroidery Design | 8 Sizes | 26 Formats
The San Diego Padres Swinging Friar heritage mascot in full embroidered form. A gold circular field forms the base of the composition, bordered by a thick black ring and then a second gold ring as the outermost edge, creating a double-ring frame. The Friar figure occupies most of the gold field interior in a black robe with the hood pulled up, his black robe forming the largest fill mass in the composition. The white face sits within the hood opening with linework detail suggesting expression and posture. White hands grip the bat at the top of the swing, with the bat extending diagonally from the hands upper-right, crossing over both the black ring and the outer gold ring to extend beyond the circular silhouette entirely — the only element in the design that breaks its own frame. The bat is filled in white with a black inner outline and a gold outer outline, ending in a rounded tip. A white sash crosses diagonally at the waist, and white shoes appear at the lower portion of the figure. Eight sizes from 3.5 to 7 inches wide.
Eight sizes from 3.5 to 7 inches wide. Minimum hoop required is 4x4 inches. Four thread colors: gold, black, white, and white detail.

Recommended Uses
The compact circular shape with the bat extension makes this a strong focal placement on caps, sleeves, and smaller garment panels. At 5.5 to 7 inches the Friar works as a left-chest placement or sleeve patch on jackets and hoodies where the character detail and bat extension are both clearly visible, appealing to collectors and longtime fans. At 4 to 5 inches the design fits standard chest placements on polos and tees where the nostalgia-forward mascot reads as a distinctive alternative to the modern SD monogram. At 3.5 to 4 inches the compact size suits sleeve placements and smaller patch applications. Cutaway stabilization recommended above 4 inches.
