UTAH in wide bold forward-leaning italic block letters with decorative notched serifs at the top corners of each upright stroke, solid blue satin fill stitched in horizontal directional runs, and dark blue satin outlines framing every letterform including the internal white negative space cutouts within the A crossbar opening and the open base of the U. The slanted baseline rises from left to right as the U sits lower than the H, giving the wordmark its characteristic athletic forward motion. Single blue throughout, ten sizes from 2.5 to 7 inches wide. The compact city name standalone is the right choice for jersey fronts and hoodie chests where a bold horizontal mark is needed without the full UTAH JAZZ span.

Recommended Uses

The slanted baseline makes this design a natural fit for jersey chest placements where the forward lean reads as motion across the garment. When stitching on caps, align the slanted baseline horizontally before locking the hoop as rotational misalignment is more visible on diagonal wordmarks than on upright text.
Stitching Tips
Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer on hoodies and fleece to prevent the wide letterforms from shifting during the extended stitch sequence. The internal white cutout shapes within the U and A are unstitched voids stabilized by satin borders that sit on top of the fill, so consistent hoop tension is essential to keep those openings clean and the border edges from lifting or blurring at smaller sizes. On dark garments the satin outline border carries the primary edge definition, so thread quality on the border color matters as much as the fill thread itself.
